Visa-free · 30 daysIndian passport holders enter Thailand without a visa for tourism, for up to 30 days per visit.
- From 15 September 2026 the visa-exempt stay is 30 days (it was 60). Anyone who entered before that date keeps the stay stamped on arrival.
- Passport valid at least 6 months, a return or onward ticket, and proof of where you are staying. Immigration can ask for proof of funds.
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is filled online before you fly — Tripido sends you the link with your documents.
- Visa-free entry through land borders is limited to twice a calendar year; arriving by air is not capped that way.
Best time to visit Thailand

Questions we get asked about Thailand
Do Indians need a visa for Thailand in 2026?
No. Indian passport holders enter visa-free for tourism, for up to 30 days per visit from 15 September 2026. You still fill the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before flying.
How much does a Thailand trip cost from India?
Our 4-night Bangkok–Pattaya land package starts at ₹24,900 per person. Add return flights (a sample Delhi fare in November 2026 was about ₹30,000) and roughly ₹2,000–3,500 a day for meals and extras, and a 5-day trip lands near ₹65,000–75,000 per person.
Which month is best for Thailand?
November to February. The weather is dry and the sea is calm on both coasts. Avoid April heat and the Andaman-side monsoon from June to October if beaches are the point of the trip.
Can I use Indian rupees in Thailand?
No. Exchange a small amount to Thai baht at the airport and the rest at a city exchange (SuperRich and similar give better rates). UPI now works at some merchants through partner apps, but do not rely on it.
Is Thailand safe for families and first-time travellers?
Yes — it is the easiest first international trip from India: short flights, tourist-ready infrastructure, and English widely used in hotels and attractions. Our Travel Help page covers the common scams to sidestep.
