Legal
Terms & Conditions
These are the conditions on which Tripido Travels sells holidays. Please read them before you pay a deposit — paying one means you accept them, for yourself and for everyone on your booking.
Who you are contracting with
This website is operated by Tripido Travels ("Tripido", "we", "us", "our"), a travel business with its office at Forum DLF Cyber City, DLF Phase 3, Sector 24, Gurugram, Haryana 122002.
In these terms, "you" means the person who makes the booking, and everyone named on it. The person who books is responsible for passing this document to the rest of the party, and for paying for the whole booking.
CONFIRM Add the exact registered legal name and constitution (sole proprietorship, LLP or private limited company), the registered office address if it differs from the one above, the CIN or registration number, and the GSTIN. Indian consumer law requires a customer to be able to identify and reach the legal entity they are contracting with.
When these terms apply
These terms apply from the moment you ask us for a quotation and continue for the whole of your trip. A contract between us comes into existence when both of the following have happened:
- we have sent you a written itinerary and quotation, and
- we have received your booking deposit and confirmed the booking to you in writing.
Until both have happened, nothing is held for you and prices may change. A quotation is not a booking. Verbal assurances, WhatsApp messages and phone calls do not vary these terms unless we confirm the variation in writing.
Where your written itinerary says something different from this page, your written itinerary takes precedence for that booking.
Quotations and what is included
Unless your quotation says otherwise, an all-inclusive Tripido package includes return airfare from your departure city, hotel accommodation, the meals stated in the itinerary, all airport and on-tour transfers, the sightseeing listed in the itinerary, and applicable taxes.
What is not included
Unless your quotation expressly says otherwise, the price does not include:
- personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, minibar and room service;
- meals not listed in your itinerary;
- optional excursions and activities you add locally;
- tips, gratuities and porterage;
- travel insurance;
- visa government fees and third-party visa service charges, unless stated as included;
- anything described in your itinerary as optional or payable locally;
- costs arising from delays, cancellations or events outside our control.
Every written quotation lists its own inclusions and exclusions. Those govern your booking.
Prices, occupancy and supplements
All prices shown on this website are per person on a twin-sharing basis — two people sharing one room — and are indicative starting prices, not offers capable of acceptance. Your quotation states the actual total for your party.
- Solo travellers pay a single-occupancy supplement.
- Children sharing their parents' room are charged at a reduced rate that depends on the child's age and the hotel's policy.
- Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are payable in INR.
When a confirmed price can still change
Once we have confirmed your booking in writing we will not increase the price, except where the increase is caused by something outside our control and is passed on at cost, namely: a government-imposed tax or levy introduced or increased after confirmation; a change in visa government fees; or an airline-imposed fare or fuel revision on tickets not yet issued.
If such an increase exceeds 10% of your total trip cost, you may cancel and receive a full refund of everything you have paid us. CONFIRM the threshold you want to commit to.
Booking, deposit and balance
| Stage | When | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Booking deposit | To confirm the booking | 25% of tour cost |
| Balance | 30 days before departure | Remaining 75% |
| Late bookings | Booked within 30 days of travel | 100% at confirmation |
CONFIRM These figures mirror the FAQ on the homepage. Correct both together if they are wrong.
Some elements — particularly airline tickets, peak-season hotels and certain visa applications — must be paid for in full at the time of booking regardless of the schedule above, because the supplier requires it. Where that applies we will tell you in writing before you pay.
If you miss the balance date, we will contact you before doing anything. If payment remains outstanding, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges in section 10. We will not cancel a booking for late payment without first attempting to reach you on the phone number and email on your booking.
How you can pay
We accept UPI, bank transfer (NEFT, RTGS or IMPS), and major credit and debit cards. Every payment is receipted.
Fraud warning. We will never ask you to transfer money to a personal account. Payments are only ever made to a bank account in the name of Tripido Travels. Before paying, verify the account name. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from Tripido and asks for payment to a personal account or a different company name, do not pay — call us on +91 99582 23023 first.
Card payment charges levied by the payment gateway, if any, are shown before you confirm the payment. CONFIRM whether you absorb or pass on gateway fees, and whether you offer EMI.
Passports and travel documents
It is your responsibility to hold a valid passport and the correct travel documents for every country on your itinerary, including countries you only transit through.
- Most destinations require your passport to be valid for at least six months beyond your return date, with at least two blank pages.
- Names on tickets and visas must exactly match your passport. Airlines routinely deny boarding for name mismatches, and corrections after ticketing are chargeable or sometimes impossible.
- You must give us your passport details accurately and on time. Where you supply incorrect details, any resulting airline, hotel or visa charge is yours to bear.
We will tell you what documents are required, but we cannot be responsible for you not holding them. If you are denied boarding or entry because your documents are not in order, that is treated as a cancellation by you under section 10, and no refund is due from us.
Visas and third-party visa services
Visa assistance is a facilitation service. It is not a guarantee that a visa will be granted, and it is not the main subject of your holiday contract.
What we do
- tell you which visa each destination on your itinerary requires for your nationality;
- supply the checklist of supporting documents;
- review your paperwork before it is submitted;
- file the application where the destination permits an agent to do so, or hand it to an authorised visa service provider on your behalf.
Third-party visa service providers
Visa applications for most destinations are not decided by us and frequently are not even submitted directly by us. They are handled through independent third parties — embassies, consulates, high commissions, and authorised outsourcing partners such as VFS Global, BLS International and similar visa application centres, and in some cases correspondent visa agencies abroad.
You should understand the following about those third parties:
- They are independent of Tripido. We do not own, control or employ them. We act only as a conduit passing your application and documents to them.
- Their fees are separate. Visa government fees, biometric fees, courier charges and visa service centre charges are levied by those third parties and are charged to you at cost, unless your quotation states they are included.
- Their own terms apply to you. When you submit an application through such a provider you are also accepting that provider's terms and privacy policy, over which we have no influence.
- Their processing times are not ours to control. Stated processing times are estimates published by the authority concerned and are routinely exceeded in peak season.
- They handle your documents. Your passport and supporting papers will be physically or digitally held by them for the duration of the application. How they handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Refusals, delays and their consequences
The decision to grant, refuse, delay or revoke a visa belongs entirely to the government of the destination country. It is not a decision we can influence, appeal or predict, and no reason is usually given.
- Visa fees and third-party service charges are non-refundable once an application has been submitted, whatever the outcome. This is the third party's rule, not ours — those fees are consumed on submission.
- Our own visa assistance charge, where we levy one separately, is CONFIRM: refundable / non-refundable on refusal.
- The rest of your booking — flights, hotels and land arrangements — is governed by the ordinary cancellation terms in section 10, because those suppliers apply their charges regardless of why you are cancelling. We will always tell you honestly what can and cannot be recovered, and we will make the request to suppliers on your behalf.
Because a refusal so close to departure can be expensive, we recommend applying as early as the destination permits, and we strongly recommend travel insurance that includes visa-refusal cover. CONFIRM: state whether you want to commit to any goodwill refund on visa refusal — the FAQ currently leaves this open.
Schedule changes and itinerary amendments
Holidays are assembled from services run by other companies — airlines, hotels, cruise operators and local ground handlers — on schedules they set and change. Some degree of change is normal. This section explains who bears what.
Airline schedule changes
Airlines alter timings, change aircraft, re-route, consolidate and cancel flights, sometimes months ahead and sometimes on the day. When an airline changes your flight:
- we will tell you as soon as the airline tells us;
- we will re-book you on the airline's own alternative at no charge to you where the airline provides one;
- where the change forces knock-on costs — an extra hotel night, a missed connection, an altered transfer — we will rearrange those for you, and any unavoidable extra supplier cost is passed on at cost;
- any refund or compensation for the flight itself is governed by the airline's own conditions of carriage and applicable aviation regulation, and is recoverable from the airline, not from us. We will pursue it on your behalf.
A change in flight timing is not in itself a cancellation of your holiday, and does not by itself entitle you to a refund from us.
Hotel changes and substitutions
Your itinerary names an actual hotel for every night. If a named hotel becomes unavailable — through overbooking, closure, renovation or withdrawal of allocation — we will substitute accommodation of the same standard or better in a comparable location, and tell you before you travel wherever we possibly can. A substitution on this basis is not a significant change and does not entitle you to cancel without charge.
Changes we make to the itinerary
We may make minor changes — reordering sightseeing, swapping the day an excursion runs, adjusting transfer times, substituting a restaurant or a guide — without your agreement and without compensation. Weather, traffic, local restrictions, religious observances and monument closures make this unavoidable.
A significant change means one of the following:
- a change of destination;
- a reduction in the total number of nights;
- a downgrade in accommodation standard for the majority of the trip;
- a change in departure or return date CONFIRM: by more than how many hours? 12 and 24 are both common.
If we have to make a significant change before departure, we will tell you promptly and you may choose one of:
- accept the changed arrangements;
- transfer to an alternative trip of equivalent value, paying or receiving any difference; or
- cancel and receive a full refund of all money you have paid to us, less any amount already irrecoverably paid to suppliers on your behalf, which we will itemise for you.
CONFIRM whether you wish to offer compensation on top of a refund for significant changes, and on what scale. Many operators pay a small fixed amount that increases as departure approaches. This page currently promises none.
Changes you ask for after booking
Tell us as early as you can — the further from departure, the more we can do and the less it costs.
- Date changes depend on airline fare rules and hotel availability. Any fare difference and any supplier amendment fee is passed on at cost.
- Name changes are treated by most airlines as a cancellation and rebooking, and are charged accordingly.
- Adding or removing travellers may change the per-person price, because pricing depends on occupancy.
- We charge an amendment fee of CONFIRM: ₹____ per change, or state that you charge only supplier costs.
If you cancel
Cancellation must be sent to us in writing, by email to sales@tripido.in. Charges are calculated from the date we receive that written notice, not from the date you decided.
| Written notice received | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| More than 45 days before departure | Booking deposit forfeited |
| 30 to 45 days before departure | 50% of tour cost |
| 15 to 29 days before departure | 75% of tour cost |
| Less than 15 days before departure | No refund |
CONFIRM These slabs mirror the homepage FAQ. Correct both together if they are wrong.
Airline tickets and non-refundable hotel bookings follow the supplier's own rules and sit outside the table above. Where a supplier's charge is higher than the slab, the supplier's charge applies. Where a ticket is wholly non-refundable, its full value is lost regardless of how early you cancel. We will always show you the breakdown.
Visa fees and third-party visa service charges already incurred are not refundable in any of the above cases (see section 8).
If one member of a party cancels, the remaining travellers may become liable for occupancy supplements, because the price was calculated on the original room configuration.
If we cancel or change your trip
Group departures require a minimum number of travellers to run. If too few people book, we may cancel — and where we do, we will tell you at least CONFIRM: how many days? before departure. You will then be offered an alternative date, a different trip of equivalent value, or a full refund of everything you have paid us.
We may also cancel where you have not paid the balance by the due date after we have tried to reach you, or where your behaviour before departure gives us reasonable grounds to believe you would endanger other travellers.
If a trip becomes impossible because of events outside anyone's control (section 17), we will recover whatever suppliers will release and refund that to you. In those circumstances we are not able to refund amounts that suppliers keep, and we do not pay compensation.
Refunds and how they are paid
- Refunds are paid to the same account or card the payment came from. We do not pay refunds to a different person's account.
- Refunds are made in Indian Rupees. Where you paid in another currency, exchange-rate movement between payment and refund is not made good.
- We process refunds within CONFIRM: ____ working days of agreeing the amount with you.
- Where a refund depends on money coming back from an airline or hotel, we pay it on within CONFIRM: ____ working days of receiving it. Airline refunds routinely take several weeks and occasionally months. We will tell you where your refund has reached whenever you ask.
- Payment gateway charges on the original transaction are not refundable, as the gateway retains them.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is not included in our package prices unless your quotation expressly says so. We strongly recommend it for every trip, and for several destinations it is a visa requirement rather than a choice.
We recommend cover for medical expenses and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, baggage, and — given section 8 — visa refusal. You are free to buy your own policy or ask us to arrange one. If you travel without insurance, you do so at your own risk and accept that you bear the costs it would have covered.
Health, fitness and special requirements
You must tell us at the time of booking about any medical condition, disability, mobility limitation, dietary requirement or allergy affecting anyone on the booking. We plan around them where we can — and we would rather know early than improvise on the ground.
Some itineraries are genuinely demanding. High-altitude destinations such as Leh Ladakh carry a real risk of altitude sickness and are not suitable for everyone; you should seek medical advice before booking. Where an itinerary requires a level of fitness, we will tell you before you pay.
It is your responsibility to obtain the vaccinations and prophylaxis recommended for your destinations, and to carry sufficient prescription medication with its prescription. We are not qualified to give medical advice and nothing we say is medical advice.
Behaviour on tour
You are expected to behave in a way that does not endanger, distress or seriously inconvenience other travellers, our staff, our suppliers or local people, and to respect local law and custom.
If a tour manager, hotel, airline or ground operator reasonably believes someone is behaving unacceptably, that person may be removed from the trip. Where that happens the contract with them ends immediately, no refund is due, we bear no responsibility for their onward costs, and they may be liable for any loss or damage caused.
You are responsible for damage you cause to hotel rooms, vehicles and other property, and may be asked to pay for it on the spot.
Our role and the limits of our liability
For the flights, hotels, transfers, cruises and excursions in your itinerary, we act as an agent arranging services that are physically delivered by independent suppliers. Those services are also subject to the supplier's own terms and, in the case of air travel, to international conventions that limit an airline's liability.
We accept responsibility for arranging your holiday with reasonable skill and care, and for the acts and omissions of our own employees acting in the course of their employment.
We are not liable for:
- the failure, negligence, insolvency or default of an independent supplier, beyond our duty to select suppliers with reasonable care and to help you pursue them;
- a decision of any government or immigration authority, including the grant or refusal of a visa or permission to enter a country;
- flight delays, cancellations or schedule changes made by an airline, beyond what section 9 provides;
- loss, theft or damage to your baggage and personal belongings;
- anything caused by your own act or omission, including failing to hold correct documents or failing to arrive on time;
- indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment or a missed connection to arrangements you made yourself;
- events outside anyone's control, as described in section 17.
Where we are found liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid to us for the affected booking, except that nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. These terms do not affect the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Events outside anyone's control
Neither of us is liable for failing to perform where the cause is an event beyond reasonable control. That includes war, civil unrest, terrorism, riot, strike or industrial action, epidemic or pandemic and the public-health measures taken in response, natural disaster, earthquake, flood, landslide, adverse weather, fire, airport or airspace closure, air traffic control restriction, technical failure of transport, and any act of government, including border closure and the suspension of visa issuance.
Where such an event prevents a trip going ahead, we will recover from suppliers whatever they will release and refund that to you. We are unable to refund what suppliers retain, and no compensation is payable.
Complaints and grievance redressal
While you are travelling
Tell your tour manager or local representative immediately, and call us on +91 99582 23023. Most problems can be fixed on the spot if we know about them. A complaint raised only after you return, when nothing can be verified or put right, is much harder for us to resolve.
After you return
Write to sales@tripido.in within 30 days of your return, quoting your booking reference and setting out what went wrong.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and give you a substantive response within 30 days, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
CONFIRM Name a Grievance Officer here — full name, designation, email and telephone. This is a legal requirement under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. The same person should be named on the Privacy Policy page.

Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction, save that nothing here prevents a consumer from approaching a consumer forum having jurisdiction under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version that applies to your booking is the version in force on the date we confirmed your booking in writing, and later changes do not alter a confirmed booking. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
