Nubra and Pangong
Two days to acclimatise in Leh, then over Khardung La to Nubra and on to Pangong Lake, with inner-line permits and oxygen on board handled for you.
Day by day
- Day 1Arrive in Leh
Airport pickup. Complete rest today — acclimatisation is not optional at 3,500 metres.
- Day 2Leh local
Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, the market. Short, gentle, and back early.
- Day 3Sham valley
Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, the Indus–Zanskar confluence and Alchi monastery.
- Day 4Over Khardung La to Nubra
Across one of the highest motorable passes to the Nubra valley: Diskit monastery and the sand dunes at Hunder, with the double-humped camels.
- Day 5Nubra to Pangong
The Shyok river road to Pangong Lake. Night by the water in a camp.
- Day 6Pangong to Leh
Sunrise at the lake, then back to Leh over Chang La.
- Day 7Fly home
Transfer to Leh airport.
