What kind of trips does Tripido plan?
We plan holidays to twenty-three destinations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and India — among them Thailand, Bali, Vietnam, Dubai, the Maldives, Japan, Georgia, Nepal and Leh Ladakh. Trips run either as private departures built entirely around your dates, or as small group tours travelling on a fixed schedule with a Tripido tour manager.
What is included in the price you quote me?
Most packages are quoted as a land price: hotels, daily breakfast (full board on many tours), all airport and on-tour transfers, the sightseeing listed in your itinerary, and applicable taxes. That figure is fixed — we do not add fuel surcharges or service fees at the end. Flights are quoted separately at the live fare from your departure city, because airfares move daily and we would rather show you the real number than pad the total to be safe. Some packages do include airfare; where they do, the package says so plainly.
Can you customise an itinerary rather than selling me a fixed package?
Yes, and most of our bookings are exactly that. Tell us roughly where, when, how many of you and a budget band, and we build a day-by-day plan around it. Adding nights, upgrading hotels, skipping a city or building in a rest day are all normal requests.
Is Tripido good for families travelling with elderly parents or young children?
Yes — it is one of the things we plan for most carefully. Itineraries for mixed-age groups get shorter travel days, hotels chosen for lifts and accessible bathrooms, and enough unscheduled time that nobody is being rushed. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we will pace it accordingly.
How do I book, and what deposit is required?
Call or WhatsApp us and we will send a written itinerary and quote. To confirm, you pay a booking deposit, with the balance due by the date shown on your proposal — the schedule depends on the destination and on how far ahead you book, because hotels and airlines set their own deadlines. Bookings made close to departure are payable in full at confirmation. The exact amounts and dates are always written on your proposal before you pay anything.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer (NEFT, RTGS or IMPS), UPI, and credit card. Every payment is receipted, and we will never ask you to transfer money to a personal account — always check you are paying Tripido Travels. We do not offer EMI at this point in time.
Are prices per person or for the whole trip?
All prices shown on this site are per person on twin-sharing basis — two people sharing one room. Travelling solo carries a single-occupancy supplement, and children sharing their parents' room are usually charged at a reduced rate depending on age. Your written quote always states the total for your group.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend it, and for several destinations it is a visa requirement rather than a choice. Insurance is not included in our package prices unless your quote says otherwise. We can arrange a policy for you or you are free to buy your own.
Do you help with visas?
Yes. We tell you exactly which visa you need, supply the checklist of documents, review your paperwork before submission and handle the application where the destination allows an agent to file it. Visa government fees are charged at cost unless your quote states they are included.
Which of your destinations are easiest for an Indian passport?
The Maldives, Sri Lanka, Indonesia (including Bali) and Thailand are visa-on-arrival or e-visa for Indian passport holders. Vietnam is a straightforward e-visa we file for you. Singapore requires an application in advance. Manali and Leh Ladakh need no visa at all, though Ladakh requires inner-line permits for certain areas, which we arrange.
What happens if my visa is refused?
A refusal is decided by the destination's authorities and is outside our control, so visa fees are non-refundable. What happens to the rest of your booking depends on how far out you are and what the airline and hotels allow. We will always tell you honestly what can and cannot be recovered, and where a hotel or airline allows a date change instead of a cancellation, we will offer that first.
Is someone with us during the trip?
On group departures a Tripido tour manager travels with you for the whole trip. On private trips you have a local representative at each destination plus a direct number for the person in India who planned your holiday — not a call centre. That line is answered around the clock while you are travelling.
What is not included in the package price?
Personal expenses such as laundry, phone calls and minibar; meals not listed in the itinerary; optional excursions you add locally; tips and porterage; travel insurance; visa government fees unless stated; and anything described as optional in your itinerary. Every quote we send lists exclusions in writing.
What sort of hotels do you use?
Typically 4-star or the closest local equivalent, chosen for location as much as star rating — being able to walk somewhere in the evening usually matters more than an extra star. Your itinerary names the actual hotel for every night, and if a named hotel becomes unavailable we substitute something of the same standard and tell you before you travel.
What happens if I need to cancel?
It depends on what you booked. Non-refundable bookings remain non-refundable — that is the supplier's condition and it does not change however early you cancel. For refundable bookings, the cancellation terms are set out in the booking terms and conditions on your proposal PDF. They differ from destination to destination and route to route, which is why we put the ones that apply to your trip on the document itself rather than a single table here. Tell us in writing as early as you can, and we will show you exactly what can be recovered.
Can I change my travel dates instead of cancelling?
Often yes, and it is usually cheaper than cancelling. Date changes depend on airline fare rules and hotel availability, so the earlier you tell us the more we can do. Any fare difference or supplier amendment fee is passed on at cost.
What if Tripido cancels the tour?
If we cancel a group departure — for example because too few travellers book — you are offered an alternative date, a different tour of equivalent value, or a full refund of everything you have paid us. If a trip becomes impossible because of events outside anyone's control, we recover whatever suppliers will release and refund it to you.
