Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam
A night on a houseboat on Dal Lake, the gondola at Gulmarg, two nights by the Lidder river at Pahalgam, and the gardens of Srinagar.
Day by day
- Day 1Arrive in Srinagar
Airport pickup. Check in to a deluxe houseboat on Dal Lake; shikara ride at sunset.
- Day 2Srinagar
The Mughal gardens — Nishat, Shalimar, Chashme Shahi — and Shankaracharya temple. Move to a hotel for the second night.
- Day 3Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg. The gondola to Kongdoori, and the meadow. Night in Gulmarg.
- Day 4Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Via the saffron fields of Pampore and the Avantipora ruins. Evening by the Lidder river.
- Day 5Pahalgam
Betaab valley, Aru valley and Chandanwari by local taxi. Afternoon free.
- Day 6Fly home
Drive back to Srinagar airport.
