Visa-free with a small online travel authorisation, direct flights from Mumbai, and a shoulder season worth knowing about.
Visa and entry for Indian passport holders
Visa-free · travel authorisation requiredIndian passport holders do not need a visa for the Seychelles; a Visitor's Permit is issued free on arrival after an online Travel Authorization approved before departure.
- Apply for the Seychelles Travel Authorization at the official portal seychelles.govtas.com after booking flights and hotel; approval usually within 24 hours. Fee about €10 per application.
- Passport valid for the stay (6 months recommended), return ticket, confirmed accommodation and proof of funds.
- Initial permit is up to 30 days for tourism, extendable.
Best time to visit Seychelles
April to May and October to November — the calm months between the two trade winds: flat seas, best snorkelling.
Nothing to avoid outright. December–February is warmer and wetter; June–September is breezier with seaweed on some east-facing beaches (Beau Vallon on the west stays fine).

April–May and October–November for calm seas and clear water. It is a year-round destination otherwise.
How much does a Seychelles trip cost from India?
Our 5-night Mahé + Praslin package starts at ₹89,900 per person. Flights from Delhi were about ₹57,600 return via Mumbai in a November 2026 sample. Budget ₹1.8–2.1 lakh per person for 6 days — the islands are expensive on the ground.
Seychelles or Maldives for a honeymoon?
Maldives for the overwater villa and one-resort stillness; Seychelles for granite beaches, hiking, three islands and a Creole town. Seychelles suits couples who get restless on a single island.
