Visa and entry for Indian passport holders

e-Visa · 30 days (visa-free with US/UK/Schengen visa)

Indian passport holders need a Georgian e-Visa, unless they hold a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen area, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea or a GCC state — in which case entry is visa-free.

  • e-Visa: apply at evisa.gov.ge, 5–7 working days, valid 120 days for a stay of up to 30 days, multiple entry.
  • Since 1 January 2026 all tourists must hold travel health insurance with at least GEL 30,000 (about USD 11,000) cover — carry the policy.
  • Visa-free holders of qualifying visas may stay up to 90 days in 180.
  • Immigration can and does refuse entry at their discretion; carry hotel bookings, return ticket and proof of funds.

Getting there

No reliable direct flights from India at the time of writing; connect through Doha, Sharjah, Dubai or Istanbul. Total journey 9–12 hours with a good connection. Tbilisi airport to the old town is 30 minutes; our package includes the transfer.
